Pawn Stars guest left floored after learning ‘holy grail’ guitar valued at a fortune

Arecent episode of Pawn Stars delivered the ultimate surprise when a seller’s “holy grail” guitar turned out to be a one-of-a-kind treasure belonging to rock legend DJ Ashba.
Gabby, the seller, had brought the Gibson Les Paul to the shop, hoping to raise $5,000 for a Las Vegas children’s hospital, but was instead left speechless.
Gabby explained that the guitar, donated without paperwork, read Ashba’s name on the neck.
“My boyfriend is building a children’s hospital, and we’re selling items to help fund it,” she told Rick Harrison.
Harrison inspected the guitar and immediately noted its features. “This isn’t a standard Gibson. The color, knobs, and switches. It looks custom-made.”

To confirm its authenticity, Harrison called in the artist himself. Before even entering the shop, Ashba revealed: “I lost a guitar years ago that meant the world to me. I’m hoping this is the one.”
When Ashba saw the guitar, he exclaimed: “This right here is the Holy Grail. I can recognize it from a mile away.”
He revealed it was a prototype made exclusively for him when he joined Guns N’ Roses, later used on tours and in recordings for both Guns N’ Roses and Sixx:A.M.

“I abused it,” Ashba joked, adding that it had gone missing years ago.
The guitar’s rarity – being the only prototype for a custom model later limited to 100 units – placed its value between $20,000 and $30,000.
Harrison made a generous offer of $20,000 for the guitar, ensuring the funds would benefit the children’s hospital.
“The kids get the money, Ashba gets his guitar, and I don’t make a dime. Everybody’s happy,” the pawn professional said.
Gabby immediately accepted: “You’ve got a deal.”
